- Infused with aloe
- Non-talc (which may or may not be a positive)

Overall, this non-talc body powder has some things going for it.
On the other hand, it has some drawbacks, and may not be the best option for you.

Pros v. Cons
Infused with vitamins, chamomile and aloe
Doesn't have the staying power of talc
Unisex scent is non-masculine
Gives your skin a real "smooth" feeling
This "smooth" feeling can be uncomfortable for some
What Does It Smell Like?
Compared to most other body powders that I have reviewed on this website, Gold Bond Ultimate Comfort Body Powder is unisex, as in, it was designed to be used by both men and women.
If you are a man and would prefer to check out something with a more masculine scent, look into Balla.
For the smell, this body powder is made up of:
- Chamomile and lavender
- Various flower and leaf extracts
The smell itself is very light and doesn't smell like baby powder at all. Some consumers thought it smelled a bit "like medicine" however the vast majority enjoyed its pleasant, light aroma.
How Long Does It Last?
Body powders that are made up of talc last longer than non-talcs, in particular, talcs made up primarily of cornstarch and/or baking soda.
So, if you are looking for a body powder with a very long lasting ability, you should probably choose something else.
That being said, overall the lasting ability of most cornstarch based body powders has seemed to have gotten a little bit better recently, probably due to advances in ingredients and research.
To break it all down for you; if you are a knowledge worker or someone who works in an office, this type of body powder will most definitely keep you dry all day long.
On the other hand, if you are outside in the elements, or perform any type of physical activity during the day, cornstarch-based body powders tend to wear off faster, which is where talc powders come in.
Gold Bond Ultimate Comfort Body Powder should keep you dry most of the day.
It also comes with 283 grams, which is a good amount.
How the Talc Feels and How to Apply It
One of the highlights of Gold Bond Ultimate Body Comfort body powder is how it feels after you apply it.
Because it is infused with chamomile, lavender and vitamins this body powder will give your skin a very strong "slick and fresh" feel.
This was much more pronounced than other body powders.
For some people, this might be a bit too much and they may prefer the little bit drier feel of some of the other body powders, even some of the non-talc body powders.
Many consumers however enjoyed the feeling and felt it to be very refreshing.
Best powder out there! Mostly used by my husband but I use it sometimes. Very soft and soothing with a great smell!
And what about in terms of how it feels in your hand?
Most body powders are fairly fine, however this one feels a little bit grainy in your hand. Not as refined as Balla and has about the same consistency as Jack Black Dry Down Powder.
That grainy feel however goes away fairly quickly, as it absorbs into your skin quite fast.
Final Verdict of Gold Bond Ultimate Comfort Body Powder
Overall, Gold Bond Ultimate Comfort Body Powder deserves a...
The main reasons for this being;
- Feels very fresh and slick after applying
- Unisex, non-overpowering but non-baby powder scent
It's not the greatest body powder, and doesn't have some of the nice touches that some other powders have, however as a basic, no frills non-talc powder it does a fairly good job.
