Why Do Deodorants Melt/Clump?
There are a few major reasons why your deodorant may clump or melt.
It’s primarily dependent on the unique blend of ingredients the manufacturer uses.
Clumping may occur because you’re using a deodorant that is not solid or aerosol.
So, a change in temperature or pressure will cause the deodorant ingredients to separate from one another.
These changes mainly occur when you’re traveling over a long distance, and the car heat causes the product ingredient to separate.
If you’re also traveling by air, your deodorant may encounter this change in temperature and clumps.
The way you store your deodorants can also cause them to clump or melt.
Generally, deodorants are well preserved in a cool and dry place.
If you expose your deodorants to heat or sunlight, it can cause this temperature change and separate the product constituents.
Sometimes, you can also buy lumpy deodorant right from the counter. It happens when the deodorant has been left on the counter for a long time.
How Do You Fix Clumped/Melted Deodorant?
You can fix clump or melted deodorant by microwaving it for some seconds.
The deodorant becomes hardened when it’s clumped. You’ll need to peel it off and microwave it.
Depending on the type of deodorant, it should be completely melted after about 35-60 seconds.
