Old Spice Pomade Review: Is It Good? Let’s Find Out! (Experiment)

Sharing is caring!

If you’re reading this article, you are either about to buy an Old Spice pomade or wondering if the one you already have is good enough.

If that’s the case, then you’re on the right page.

As one of the oldest brands in the men’s grooming industry, Old Spice is a force to reckon with.

The brand doesn’t just produce pomade but also deodorants, body wash, antiperspirant, and many skin care products.

Recently, there are a lot of questions about their pomade products and if its as good as the others.

During my research, I found a couple of interesting tidbits that can help you decide whether the brand’s pomade is for you or not.

Is Old Spice Pomade Good?

Although this question is subjective, I’ve found a lot of reviews of the product are inclined to be positive. While some scathing reviews, most show the pomade in good light. This means that Old Spice pomade is good (with a few caveats) and we’ll cover why this may be so below.

But first, most of these Pomade products come in 2 oz bottles and in a bright red color. You most likely will get it in a jar while some are available in a tube. Also, you can get the product directly from the manufacturer or from big stores like Amazon, eBay, or Walmart. Finding reviews on the one you want to buy should be easy too since the products are very popular. Now, here are some good things about Old Spice:

Why Old Spice Pomade May Be Considered Good

It’s Quite Popular

The first thing I notice is that Old Spice pomade is very popular.

There are a lot of reviews for the brand’s pomade already, so I had a lot of content to grow through.

There are also a lot of different brands you can choose from. This includes the Spiffy, which was around $5 and I found it to be one of the popular ones.

Don’t be mistaken that popularity doesn’t translate into being good. This is because a product can only be popular for two things. Either because it’s bad (and popular for the wrong reasons) or it’s very good (and people are trooping to it).

Is It Pricey?

The Pomades are cheap. Generally, Old Spice products are affordable, which is one of the reasons that drew them a lot of attention.

And probably why some prefer to stick to the brand.

You probably might only need to spend less than $10, depending on where you’re buying.

If you’re chanced to check a drug store or discount store, you might be able to get it for a good price.

This makes it great for college students or anyone looking for a pomade that is available for a few bucks.

I call a product practical when it does what it promises.

There are a lot of expensive products out there that are only backed by promises. They don’t work. No wonder there are mostly happy customers.

If you want to confirm this, you can check out some of the Youtube reviews on the product, especially Old Spice Spiffy.

Which Old Spice Pomade Should You Choose?

I’ll recommend Old Spice Spiffy, which is very popular and good too.

There are a lot of advantages to using it.

The Old Spice Spiffy is consistent, sticks out long enough, is easy to apply, holds well, and provides a reasonable shine.

However, because it is very cheap, it may not be suitable for you if you are used to other high-end, premium pomades from the likes of American Crew, Suavecito, etc.

This is because the quality may not be as good as those.

Old Spice Pomade Alternatives

The thing is that, no matter how great a product is, there will be lovers and haters.

For Old Spice, a lot of lovers come from those with a tight budget.

If you can spend more and can afford higher quality products, your best option might be to go for more premium products from the likes of Reuzel or Suavecito, or Layrite.

Also, if you have longer, thick hair, these other brands might be better for you than Old Spice.
