Is Isntree Cruelty-free and Vegan in 2022?

Sharing is caring!

Isntree is a cruelty-free. The brand has confirmed that it is truly a cruelty-free brand. That means the brand doesn’t test on animal or sell in countries where animal testing is required by law, such as China.

Isntree Animal Testing Policy

When asked about their animal testing policy, the brand answered politely:

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, we’re not certified as vegan brand by any organization, but as our brand moto is to respect life, most of our products don’t contain any animal ingredients and all of them are cruelty-free.

I hope this answered to your questions!

We’ll try harder to make better products 🙂

That means you can patronize the Isntree if you want to stick with brands that don’t test on animals.

Unfortunately, some of their products are not widely available as their western counterparts. But you might still be able to find them on eCommerce platforms like Amazon and eBay.

Is Isntree Vegan?

The brand may make and sell vegan products, however, it’s not likely the brand is 100% vegan. But since it’s a cruelty-free brand, it’s safe to buy their products even if they are not fully vegan.

Moreover, the brand also states that they have not been certified as a “vegan brand” by any organization. This is very honest of the brand.

The advantage of patronizing a brand like this is in the opportunity of supporting brands that don’t test on animals and encourage other brands that are yet to join that the other side is indeed good.

What some brands are afraid of in joining the list of vegan brands is that they may not make enough profit or lack patronage.

But that is not a valid worry since there are plenty of cruelty-free/vegan brands that have continued to survive and some have healthy profit margins too.

What exactly is vegan?

A vegan brand is one that doesn’t employ any animal-derived ingredients in its skincare products. Therefore, a brand can be cruelty-free but not vegan.

However, a brand that is 100% vegan will always be cruelty-free since such a brand will also not conduct animal testing.

Why should you only patronize vegan brands?

By patronizing vegan brands, you’re encouraging them to keep doing what they are doing.

However, if you patronize brands that aren’t vegan, then you’re in essence promoting what they are doing, which is making animals suffer.

Fortunately, there are a lot of vegan brands out there to choose from, depending on your needs and buying preferences.

However, the fact still remains that the number of brands that are not vegan far outweighs those that are.

But as more brands embrace the practice, the selection pool will continue to enlarge and make choosing even easier.

Is Isntree Certified By Any Brand?

No, Romand isn’t certified by any cruelty-free organizations. These organizations often email brands and ask them about their animal testing policy.

Some research will also go into the brand such as where they are selling the products, what the media says about their animal testing, and so on.

Before a brand can be tagged cruelty-free, it must fulfill all necessary protocols such as not testing on animals or using animal-derivative ingredients in its products.

The most popular of them are Cruelty-Free Elephant, PETA, and Leaping Bunny.

Are there Alternative Brands?

  • Innisfree
  • Supergoop
  • Cosrx
  • Biore
  • Purito
  • Hada Labo
  • Beauty of Joseon

Conclusion

As you can see, Isntree is a cruelty-free brand.

So, if you’re after a 100% vegan or cruelty-free brand, you don’t have to look for alternatives, unless of course, you are selective.

Fortunately, there are some substitutes, some of which I’ve included in this article. You want to ensure you check each one to be sure they are cruelty-free.
